How do I create a sample HelloWorld portlet in Gatein and deploy it?

I am using Eclipse with Jboss tools plugin. Can someone please share some steps in how to create a portlet, make it into a WAR file and the deploy it on the Gatein portal server and the see it on the Portal server url (localhost:8080/portal)

The end objective is to create and deploy a spring MVC portlet, but right now, am struggling with a simple portlet.

Any help will be useful.
