Richfaces 4.0 with JSF 2.0

Hi,

Am working on RF 4 and JSF 2.0. After adding the jars mentioned in the article http://community.jboss.org/wiki/HowtoaddRichFaces4xtoprojectsnotbasedonmaven am not able to access some of the classes.

For ex: I want to bind menuitem with HtmlMenuItem. But I didn't find this class in those jars. Where am doing wrong. Please help...

Hi Ravi,
are you using JBoss for App-Server? When yes, you need to replace JBoss AS' bundled JSF-Jars, then it should work.

Hi Ravi,

try to use org.richfaces.component.UIMenuItem instead of HtmlMenuItem.

Hey,

Am not using jboss server. and more over its not throughing any exceptions..its showing compilation errors if I use HtmlMenuItem.

Hi Pavol,

Thanks for the quick reply. Am able to bind the menuitem, but now am facing a java script error saying "RichFaces is not defined" and the menuitems are not showing on mouse over of the menu. Any idea?
