a4j:region renderRegionOnly in 4.0.0 CR1

According to the migration guide the renderRegionOnly attribute is removed/not implemented in 4.0.0. Is there some alternative to achieve the same behavior? Thanks.

to specify limitRender and define the components to be updated explicitly. There will be no updates outside of the list mentioned in render.

Personally all the time we played with 3.3.x I belived that it's really unnatural attribute for the component which designed to limit processing and not related to rendering.
