1. test passwords encrypted with org.jboss.resource.security.SecureIdentityLoginModule
jesse.hazen Mar 29, 2011 12:38 PM (in response to gfca)You mentioned that the authentication fails. If the authentication fails then you don't really need to test.
Can you please post your ds.xml file and your login-config.xml?

Right now, im not in work so i can't put the *.xml.
But i want to test because i'm almost sure that the other department did wrong the encryption. (I don't have the original password!)

3. test passwords encrypted with org.jboss.resource.security.SecureIdentityLoginModule
jesse.hazen Mar 29, 2011 1:52 PM (in response to gfca)I'm not entirely sure how to test the connection (I googled "test jdbc connection oracle" and found a few oracle.com articles that you may want to take a look at, but I don't know if they'll help). But, if your JBoss box can still connect to the Oracle box, and you followed the configuration in the guide you mentioned, then either the username or the password is wrong.
You said that "authentication fails." On AS 5.1.0 if you input an invalid encrypted password in your login-config, and start the server, during startup there will be an error saying Authentication Failed. Is this the error you are referring to? Just want to make sure I understand where you are seeing the failure.

gfca Mar 29, 2011 2:12 PM (in response to jesse.hazen)thanks Jesse for you reply.
Yes, it's the same error - Authentication Failed.
My ideia is to do some aplication in Java or something else to test the encrypted password that the other department gave me...
I want to tell them that the problem is with them, not with my configurations!!!

5. test passwords encrypted with org.jboss.resource.security.SecureIdentityLoginModule
lisbor Apr 18, 2011 6:41 AM (in response to gfca)Login to Administration Console, then find your Data Source; click Test Connection.
If it fails check that your login-config.xml contains policy with name specified in security domain for your data source.
