Client Side Regex Removed in 4.0.0 Final?

I just updated to 4 Final to check out the final version of the client side validation implementation. I noticed that controls that had previously been performing regex on the client now seem to be going back to the server. Was the regex interpretation removed from the final build?

My bad. Someone added a custom validator to a couple of these controls and thus it was going back to the server (as expected). Thanks very much.
