No table in a4j:outputPanel

I tried to place a table inside the <a4j:outputPanel> but no lines of the table appeared...  what's the problem? is there any special way to do this?

(used richfaces 4)

Hi Carl,

By default a4j:outputPaenl is encoded as SPAN, so you should set layout="block" to get valid HTML.
