4. Exist a Configuration to save only new Changes?
pgermosen Apr 18, 2011 12:06 PM (in response to adamw)Yes a audit record is only created when there are changes donde to the entity and that is perfect that way...
But what i was talking about was in the audit record for example
you have a entity lets call it A with fields (id, name, date, other)
then you persist that entity with ('01','Adam',new Date(),'Nice things') and perfect that created a new audit record in A_AUD with the same data plus revision information and that is pefect that way too.
then you change the entity in the field other with 'Not so nice things' and that created a new audit record in a_AUD with
(id,oldData, oldData,'Not so nice things') plus revision information, and i know for some people that could be perfect
but if could be something like (id,null, null,'Not so nice things') that way per register in database you can know what change and what not
i dont know if i was clear enought this time....

5. Exist a Configuration to save only new Changes?
adamw Apr 20, 2011 9:27 AM (in response to pgermosen)Ah, I understand now. That's a different way of saving audit records, one which Envers doesn't yet support. This is a tradeoff between the ease-of-history reading and some additional space taken.
