What's the typical error message handling of Richfaces?

Dear Experts,

I am using richfaces 4.0. I have a question on the error message handling. It enable users to input start date, end date, system will show the statistic chart. As there exist some rules on the user's input. I am trying to show the error message in one place for all the items.

1. Which tag I can use?

2. Can I just put the message to the Bean class and the message will apper automatically if any.

RichFaces extends standard JSF validation mechanism by adding some advanced features. Please have a look on validation chapter in our Component Reference.
