1. Generated web service throws 'incorrect syntax' exception
tejones May 17, 2011 4:50 PM (in response to scottdawson)Scott,
You are connecting to the underlying source JNDI, not the Teiid VDB. If you haven't already, you will need to create a JNDI connection to your VDB and use that JNDI name when you generate the war.
Thanks,
Ted

2. Generated web service throws 'incorrect syntax' exception
tejones May 17, 2011 4:55 PM (in response to tejones)Also, with regards to the JBossWS-CXF version, we have not tested with anything above 3.3.*. We should be able to add support for 3.4.* in Designer 7.5 though. Thanks for testing the waters. :-)

3. Generated web service throws 'incorrect syntax' exception
scottdawson May 17, 2011 6:43 PM (in response to tejones)Thank you Ted. It's working now.
In the Teiid view in Teiid Designer, I've now created 2 datasources -- one for the underlying database and one for the VDB itself. Is that the correct way to do it?
Thanks again,
Scott

4. Re: Generated web service throws 'incorrect syntax' exception
tejones May 17, 2011 6:56 PM (in response to scottdawson)You're quite welcome Scott. It's actually a common confusion point. I logged https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-947 to help add some clarity for a future release (likely 7.5).
Creating the two datasources as you have described is the correct way (or at the very least the easiest/most straight-forward way) to do it.
Thanks,
Ted
