17. Hornetq 2.2.2 Final Live-Backup configuration issue
ramesh.krg May 20, 2011 5:53 AM (in response to ataylor)Hi Andy,
Actually we like to implement Live- backup scenario thro Hornetq.
We worked out the example called multiple-failover, and it was working fine with in a single system.
So thro which we got a confidents that Live-backup is possible via shared files.
Now we like to test the same sceraio/example in different servers. Like Live in one serrver and backup in another server.
We used NFS for sharing the files with in server.
Once ithis works works fine, then only we can go for jboss subscriptons.
I have explained in previous reply, what we have done and attached the modified java files also. I guess now you can understands the issue.
Thankis.

18. Hornetq 2.2.2 Final Live-Backup configuration issue
ataylor May 20, 2011 6:01 AM (in response to ramesh.krg)make sure you are using nio not aio when using NFS as aio isnt supported.
Also just make sure your acceptor and connector configs have the correct addresses and you should be fine.

19. Hornetq 2.2.2 Final Live-Backup configuration issue
ramesh.krg May 23, 2011 2:17 AM (in response to ataylor)Hi,
Ya we are using NIO only.
And Acceptor and connector is configured with own IP .(Means Live server hav it's own IP and port 5446)
anything else to take care.
<param key="host" value="${jboss.bind.address:localhost}"/>
<param key="port" value="${hornetq.remoting.netty.port:5446}"/>

mcroce Oct 31, 2012 3:25 PM (in response to ataylor)Thanks a lot Taylor!
Was great your response because I added to an app the hornetq jars and jboss-client.jar ( in ${jboss.home}/bin/client/).
Inside jboss-client.jar are already the hornetq implementation, and that was an issue in my development, differents versions.
Always get jboss-client.jar from your JBOSS to develop an external consumer.
Thanks,
Maxi
