Making a Dashboard Portlet Read-Only (not allow adding of gadgets)

Is there a way of making a dashboard portlet page read-only so the user does not have the ability to had additional gadgets?

I have a page displayed after the user logs in showing a calendar, rss feed, etc. but it still says 'add gagets' in the upper right hand corner.  How do I remove this link?

Any reason why you can't just place the gadgets on a normal, non-dashboard, page?

Dashboards are meant to be user configurable

I guess you are right Matt.  I can use a conatiner and place the gadgets in them for the user.
