Daily, weekly, monthly versions of Showcase + stable version?

Hi Guys,

While reviewing jira and thinking about the some different way to see progress, and verify fixes, I was thinking it might be a good idea to have a couple of versions of the RichFaces showcase published.

One would be stable, and always based on the last release i.e. 4.0.0.Final for now.  Another one would be either a daily, weekly, or monthly snapshot from /trunk.

What do you all think - worth the effort?

We would need to have the build scripts and hudson updated so that this is done automatically.  Plus perhaps we can use naming or version information to have a history of them available ( perhaps last 3-4 versions? ).

Thoughts?

If the process is fully automated, then I would say yes, this is a very good idea!

Agree that it's great idea. "Snapshot" demo (while being stable enough ) will be one more "live" motivation for those who still not sure to use latest version or not. And also more guys will be able to check new components(to add comments before release) or favourite issues fixes there. And RF will get more early adopters involved.

I like the idea but, as Ilya and Brian said, it has to be automated and stable.

The automation needs to be stable, but the snapshot deployments will depend on the code checked in.

I'll create a jira to cover this, and assign to 4.1!
