Richfaces 4.0 ExtendedDataTable problem

I'm trying to migrate from RichFaces 3.3.3 to 4.0.  After solving many problems (reading a lot of posts here) I have one unresolved - ExtendedDatatable doesn't show scroll bars (vertical or horizontal). Need for scrollable table was main reason for migrating. The main suspicion - I use IE6, and don't have any choice - in this place all software upgrades are controlled centrally from far away (HO in Germany). Could it be a reason and than a deal breaker or should I dig dipper?

Found the reason - when there is something wrong somewhere in the table (in my case it was "filterBy" instead of FilterExpression - left over from 3.3.3) - table is rendered OK, except Scroll Bars!.
