js call to a4j:jsFunction not working

Hello,

I declared an a4j:jsFunction within my page. I then try to call this a4j:function from a seperate js function seperate to the richfaces components.

However the browser declares that the a4j:jsFunction is not defined.

Does the a4j:jsFunction need to be placed somewhere special within the xhtml page I have written. I am using richfaces 3.3.3.

Hi Gerald,

usualls it's not important where you place a4j:jsFunction, because <script>-Tags are allowed everywhere. Best practice is placing it within your h:head.

Check your HTML-Output what is generated in the place where your a4j:jsFunction-Output should be.
