Windows clock is running faster after starting jboss service

    jkanefey

      System details:

      IBM eServer x3500

      Intel Xeon X5450 3.00GHz

      4GB RAM

      Win2008 Server Standard SP2 (32Bit)

      JBoss: 4.0.5.ga

      Problem:

after starting the jboss server the system time starts to run faster. This causes Tardis (time synch via NTP) to do clock resets every minute. The time drift increases with the amount of war files in the deploy folder (up to ~500ms every minute). After stopping the jboss service the windows time is running with normal speed and Tardis has nothing to do.

Because the system is a realtime system this causes a lot of trouble.

Has anyone seen similar problems when running jboss?

      with best regards
