ExtendedDataTable and ExtendedDataModel

Hi,
i'm building a demo with ExtendedDataTable and i'm trying to access the model to save/restore the current setting of the table (like column size, order, visibility).
I think i must access the ExtendedDataModel but i can't figure out how.
Anyone has a quick example to share ?

you should use "tableState" attibute and bind it with a string variable of the bean , like

tableState="#{bean.tableProfile}"

This string will hold all the info of your grid changes like rezise, column visibilty info etc..
Save this string in a text file/ data base in a action and while load the page in manage bean constructor read from database/text file and assign the value to "tableProfile" so it will load with the previous data.
