1. Re: JAXB module dependency
prasad.deshpande Jul 8, 2011 3:38 PM (in response to adamw)I had similar issue with my webapp. I added jaxb-impl.jar and it worked. Try adding jaxb impl.

adamw Jul 9, 2011 3:00 AM (in response to prasad.deshpande)Thanks, I'll try that, though I'm wondering if this is the "correct" way to add jaxb to an app in AS7?

I wanted to expose JAXB to my app by adding a module dependency. To do that, I add a manifest file with the following contents:
Dependencies: javax.xml.bind.api
but this didn't change anything.
Try:
Dependencies: com.sun.xml.bind services

5. Re: JAXB module dependency
adamw Jul 11, 2011 8:29 AM (in response to jaikiran)Works! Question is: why is it working now, what was wrong before and what's the "services" at the end, some kind of qualifier?
Thanks!

6. Re: JAXB module dependency
adamw Jul 11, 2011 8:50 AM (in response to adamw)Replying to my own question, as the FAQ above says, "services" also imports the content of META-INF/services when declaring a dep on the module, making it visible to the JAXB lookup code.

The other difference was, earlier you were using the javax.xml.bind.api dependency and not com.sun.xml.bind. The javax one doesn't expose the sun JDK classes.
