ilya_shaikovsky Jul 9, 2009 5:40 AM (in response to ekusnady)rich:tree requires dataModel. You could not define it just with static nodes. check richfaces-demo for samples.

nbelaevski Jul 9, 2009 5:56 AM (in response to ekusnady)All i saw on the browser was :
NullPointerException.
What should i do?
Check the code throwing this exception by manual sources inspection or by debugging; then resolve the problem. -
4. Re: My Richfaces on Seam Project
ekusnady Jul 9, 2009 4:16 PM (in response to ekusnady)how could i instantiate class that i want to link with my xhtml Data?
Please explain me like you want to explain it to a small kid who never has any experience with programming.
I am totaly new here.
In this tutorial http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/tree.jsf?tab=model&cid=1445593, there is no detail steps.
I am just guessing:
1. I make a Seam Web Project on my Eclipse with the target Runtime from JBoss AS 4.2. Runtime and for the configuration i choose : Dynamic Web Project with Seam 2.1 (Technology Preview)
2. on the folder "src/hot" (that eclipse automatically made in my Seam Web project), i add a new normal java class with a default package.
The class is SimpleTreeBean.java
3. After that, i go to WebContent and make a new xhtml data.
I named it yuk.xhtml, in this data, i copied the View Source data which i have seen in http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/tree.jsf?tab=model&cid=1445593
4. I click on WEB-INF and i choose faces-config.xml. Here i add a new Managed Beans and for "Managed-Bean-Class" i choose the Java Class "SimpleTreeBean" and for "Managed-Bean-Name" i choose simpleTreeBean
And i thought, that's all i have to do.
Am I right ?
If anyone from you know a very good tutorial where every single steps are written. I would be very glad to have it.
It frustrated me. It's been more than 1 week and i still couldn't make any simple tree with Richfaces.
I only could make Seam Hello World.
I need a help....
Thank u... -
5. Re: My Richfaces on Seam Project
ilya_shaikovsky Jul 10, 2009 6:35 AM (in response to ekusnady)do not use multiple threads for one problem. we can't answer in every one :(
And run our samples from the beggining. It's much easier to start exploration from working code written especially as the kick start for the users.
