    Richfaces 4 plans for contextMenu?

I am trying to implement a complex set of context menus in my application.  I've been trying to replicate the functionality I fondly remember when working in Interleaf publishing software.  Virtually any task or navigation could be achieved with a context menu and somehow the default that came up at the top of the menu always seemed to be the thing you wanted to do.  It was awesome.

However I'm finding this to be very difficult.  I posted yesterday about a problem I was having accessing the information passed to the contextmenu via a componentControl.  Much of what I want to do involves navigation and am having to use a lot more Javascript than I normally do, which feels very "hackish".  Maybe it shouldn't, but there you are.

I was wondering what the plans are for context menus/componentControls in Richfaces 4?  Are any enhancements planned?  Making navigation a bit easier would be nice. I'd like to be able to pass an object to a contextMenu rather than just a string. Or at least be able to convert the attribute I'm passing.  Seam-like navigation with parameter passing would be good, too.

Perhaps the problems I've had are -- ahem -- user-based, in that case can someone please answer my posting from yesterday?  :-)

Thanks for listening! In general I'm having a lot of fun with this stuff but there is still so much to learn...
