brianlh Jan 14, 2011 8:11 AM (in response to arjunp)In fact, afte I install jbpm5, I can't view the JBPM Editor from http://localhost:8080/designer/editor.html (it only shows "Intalio|Process Designer" "please wait while loading...").
I don't know why.

3. How to use designer editor - http://localhost:8080/designer/editor.html
brianlh Jan 14, 2011 12:59 PM (in response to arjunp)Of course I try it in chrome browser. But it shows "can't load process designer" and then it shows a dialog ("Intalio|Process Designer" "please wait while loading...").
Do you know localhost:8080/designer/editor.html is contained in which war, jbpm-gwt-console.war, or jbpm-gwt-console-server.war?
I will check it exists or not.
By the way, have you downloaded the source code for jbpm5? And in the source code krisv-jbpm\jbpm-gwt, I don't see any webpage of jbpm5!!!! Very strange!

krisverlaenen Jan 17, 2011 8:53 PM (in response to arjunp)Integration of the latest version of the designer is currently being worked on (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBPM-3008), to solve the issues like the one mentioned here, make it work on multiple browsers, etc. Please be a little patient while we finish this task, it should be ready soon, we'll let you know through the blog etc. when we believe everything should be updated and fully functional

7. Re: How to use designer editor - http://localhost:8080/designer/editor.html
brianlh Jul 12, 2011 8:14 PM (in response to arjunp)Hello, I have installed JBPM5.1.0 (ant install.demo), then I start jbpm5.1.0 by "ant start.demo".
However, when I use Guvnor to create a bpmn process, it throws out an exception.
It seems that it can't find web-based designer.
I have checked that the file designer.war has been in the directory F:\jbpm-installer5.1.0\jboss-5.1.0.GA\server\default\deploy.
So i don't know why Guvnor can not find the designer.
Can anyone give some advice?

tsurdilovic Jul 13, 2011 10:13 AM (in response to brianlh)What are exceptions in server log? What is the URL you are accessing Guvnor with (include hostname and port too).

9. Re: How to use designer editor - http://localhost:8080/designer/editor.html
brianlh Jul 13, 2011 12:52 PM (in response to tsurdilovic)In jboss/.../deploy/server.log, there is not any exception about the error.
I don't know why Guvnor can't find the designer.
This error appears all the time.
The address of my accessing Guvnor: http://localhost:8080/drools-guvnor/org.drools.guvnor.Guvnor/Guvnor.html#asset=e3cd9a8f-9b01-4ffe-abde-d5c5adc5638b

brianlh Jul 14, 2011 8:14 AM (in response to tsurdilovic)Thanks for your response.
I have changed jdk/jre from version 1.5.0_04 to 1.6.0_10.
I have reinstalled the jBPM5.1.0, and now I can see the designer.
(Before, in computer->property->environment variable, I configured java_home as version jdk 1.5.0_04, but windows cmd.exe used jre 1.6.0_10.
Now, I have changed java_home as version jdk1.6.0_10.)

brianlh Jul 14, 2011 10:29 AM (in response to tsurdilovic)Unfortunately, when I use designer in Guvnor to create BPMN process, I usually can't save my process.
Even if I have saved my process, I can't often save changes of my process.
It's very strange.
Does anyone come across such problem?
I don't know why?

tsurdilovic Jul 14, 2011 11:53 AM (in response to brianlh)Any messages in logs when you save your process in Guvnor that could indicate the problem? Are you using authentication with Guvnor or are using some other port than 8080 or using maybe https? Kinda of hard to point to anything with your given description.
