1. Re: installing db-driver as a deployment
gonne Jul 20, 2011 4:36 PM (in response to nimo22)I think it does not work to deploy the DB2 JDBC driver as deployment, because the db2jcc.jar depends on the license jar db2jcc_license_cu.jar and these are 2 isolated deployments. Besides that I suppose your driver name in the datasource definition must match with the name of your JDBC jar.
Have a look at "Define the datasource" in https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS7/How+do+I+migrate+my+application+from+AS5+or+AS6+to+AS7
Kind regards,
Gonne

nimo22 Jul 21, 2011 2:39 AM (in response to gonne)Yes, you are right.
If a db-driver consists of more than one jar, than only module deployment will be allowed.
thank you!

3. Re: installing db-driver as a deployment
antonio_bruno Aug 6, 2011 5:23 PM (in response to nimo22)So if I use external libraries, and these interact with each other, I'm forced to use modules of jboss? I can not use another mechanism to link these external libraries?
Thanks in advance.
Antonio
