IDP-Standalone in which case can be used?

Hello, my questions is about the use of IDP-standalone

Could you please explain in which scenario would you use the IDP-standalone?

Is it possible to handle more options using IDP-standalone? What do you get and what do you loose, comparing IDP-standalone and IDP-tomcat/JBoss?

idp standalone does not use the container security of Tomcat/JBAS but uses its own security.  So that way it is extendable to any web container that can host a servlet based web app.  With the tomcat/jbas version, we have the tighter integration into the web container.
