HornetQ sample project?

hi!

i'm new with HornetQ and JMS and i'm lost a bit. any help would be appreciated.

all i need is a simple queue (nothing fancy), create a connection, put some data in on the producer side and consume it on the other one. i started up the standalone server via the build/run script, but i can't get any further. how do i connect to the server, how do i create a new queue, do i need a jboss appserver to comile/run the codes, etc? i checked the example codes, no problem with the java parts, but the environment and the configurations are really hard to understand.

is there any sample project source code (a "starter kit") or any detailed tutorial i could use?

thre are numerous examples shipped with HornetQ, take a look at any one

i did it already, of course and the java codes are clear. my problem is about the "infrastructure" and the project setup. i know, there is some help in the user manual chapter 7.1, but those are only few lines of code, out of context.

i've got a running standalone server. is it enough to write two classes (producer and consumer), complie and run them? is that all? where do i configure the queues, the topics?

All this info is in the examples, look at the configuration etc. its reasonably simple stuff
