Yes, I think a separate repo is needed -- that should help stop me messing up the master with deve code. I was hoping to use https://github.com/byteman but someone has already taken it. Perhaps the jboss repo is the right way to go. I'll try to sort this out very soon.
By the way, can you tell me what you are using Byteman for?

The Byteman git master repo has been relocated to live under the bytemanproject group

Regarding the usage, I have not personally used byteman yet, but I should be used in the AS7 testsuite. Arquillian should already have some at least POC support for byteman which might be used for failover test cases in transactions, clustering, messaging, or whatnot testing :-)
