Trouble with war file in ear file

HI,

I'm trying to migrate the quite large application from jboss 4.3.2 to AS 7, having overcome the initial hurdles I'm fingthing with the following issue:

I have a war file with one http filter class that does not load when packaged inside ear file.

No errors are present in the log file but the filter class does  not print the log messages that are generated in the init.

Exactly the same war  works if deployed as standalone war file (at least the initialization messages are printed out).

How can this issue be troubleshooted/debugged?

How/where have you configured that filter in your web app? Also where exactly is the class located in the .ear?

The filter is configured via web.xml and using annotation @WebFilter.

I think somehow the web.xml is ignored but I see no error messages in the log file.

Attached the EAR file containing the WAR file.

If extracted from the EAR file the WAR file prints out messages about VersionRedirectFilter
