rich:datatable => rerender something on filtering

Hi,

I want to rerender something (the rowCount-outputLabel) when there's filtering taking place on the rich:datatable.

Is there an easy way to do this? The datascroller seems to be rerendered upon filtering. How can I achieve this with an other component?

Is it possible to use some sort of PropertyListener or Binding?

table has reRender attribute which designed specially to update somthing on filtering/sorting.
