1. Re: What happend to RoleMappingLoginModule?
dlofthouse Aug 9, 2011 7:41 AM (in response to simas_ch)Could you please clarify what you mean when you say it is not working?
FYI for the code attribute you do not need the fully qualified class name and instead you can just enter 'RoleMapping'
Where are you placing the property file that you mention?
I would suggest enabling TRACE logging for org.jboss.security as well to get some more detail during your calls.

2. Re: What happend to RoleMappingLoginModule?
simas_ch Aug 9, 2011 8:18 AM (in response to dlofthouse)It does not consider the rolesMaspping-roles.properties file.
This is located in: JBOSS_HOME\standalone\configuration\

That path is not in the classpath of the application. See this http://community.jboss.org/message/615714#615714

4. Re: What happend to RoleMappingLoginModule?
simas_ch Aug 9, 2011 3:30 PM (in response to jaikiran)It makes absolutly no sense to have the RolesMapping properties file packed with the application.
I'm using RolesMapping to be able to have different group names per stage to map to a application user role.
The RolesMapping properties file must be part of the application server not of the application.
Is it possible to change the behavior of AS 7 to the previous releases behavior and add a conf directory?

simas_ch Aug 22, 2011 4:27 AM (in response to simas_ch)Where can I post a feature request to have the RoleMappingLoginModule work as before and add a conf directory to AS 7 classpath?

6. Re: What happend to RoleMappingLoginModule?
mmoyses Aug 22, 2011 11:41 AM (in response to simas_ch)There is no plan to include any directory in the classpath, but you can treat rolesProperties as a file path.
If you are starting JBoss using the standalone script in the $JBOSS_HOME/bin directory, you can set rolesProperties relative to this directory like ../standalone/configuration/rolesMapping-roles.properties or you can use the full path, for example /opt/jboss7/standalone/configuration/rolesMapping-roles.properties.
