Long Poll

I am running errai 1.3.0.CR1.

I am using the sendRepeatingWith

	.noErrorHandling()
							.sendRepeatingWith(dispatcher, TimeUnit.MILLISECONDS, 2000);

method to poll my data and send it back to the client.  When I look at the requests from the client (in chrome developer tools), I see it is making constant new requests, faster than 2000 miliseconds.  Isn't this supposed to be long polling?  is there some setting I am missing?

Also, I see the same sort of network traffic when I run the stocksample application.  Thanks.
