Calendar - how to change location of month/year selector pop

I am using the calendar control as an organizer. At the top of the calendar I use the standard header that shows the Month/Year and when clicked pops up the month/year selector window.

My problem is that this popup appears by default centered over the calendar, which in my case can often by quite large. The result is that the popup is sometimes off-screen and the user would have to scroll down to even see it.

Anyone know a way I can override the location of the popup and force it to popup at the top of the calendar or even just wherever the click event took place?

Hmm...

Thanks for the reply but I can't really get it to position in the same place (over or just under the Month/Year button in the header).

In order to get the top/left attributes to take effect, I need to set the position attribute.

I can use relative or absolute settings, and then use top: -300px or something like that, but the problem with that is that if the calendar has more entries, it will be taller, and 300px will not be enough.

Spent some time playing with this, but I can't get it so that it consistently displays over the Month/Year button regardless of the size of the calendar itself.

hi,
i am new to richfaces & i want to develope calendar organizer.
i have completed with Calenday display & on day click modal panel show.
But i want to link added events(from database or list) to calendar like to display events on calendar as per current month selected.
is it possible with calendar data model or something else?
