JBoss shutdown takes 1h 30 mins

Hi,

Does anyone has any idea why on a production server a shutdown can take up to 1 hour and 30 minutes ?

Looking over the log files revealed no error whatsoever but the entire process of stopping was utterly slow(stopping a single EJB could last even 5-10 minutes).

If anyone has any clue what could cause such a large stopping time please feel free to share your opinions.

I must mention the server's configuration is more than capable of sustaining the JBoss server.

Get some thread dump http://community.jboss.org/wiki/ThreadDump and see what's going on.

Can I somehow view how many beans I have in my pool ? (Using jmx-console....)

Yes, that's possible. The jmx-console has MBeans for the pools used by the EJBs. I don't exactly remember the MBean names, but they should be easy to spot (they'll contain the name of your EJB).
