How to make the filter occur when user press Enter button on filter's textbox? It is because user may keyin some text boxes then only trigger the filter.

How to avoid rich:extendedDataTable make a request to server when resize the column?

1) implementing the external filtering and using rich:hotKey or just your own js handler of keypress to trigger filter request when enter pressed.. Built-in filtering can't be customized for this.
