rhusar Sep 23, 2011 9:54 AM (in response to jean.baldessar)Hi Jean,
the behavior you are expecting, i.e. the sticky session or the session affinity, is configured by default. You dont have to go anywhere and turn it on yourself. I am quite surprised why is it not working for you. We will need some logs or config files to find the problem.
For AS7 mod_cluster subsystem see this documentation instead https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS7/mod_cluster+in+AS7

3. Re: Configure Sticky Session
jean.baldessar Sep 23, 2011 2:32 PM (in response to jean.baldessar)Ok, I need some help to configure AS to work with mod_cluster.
I'm using AS 7.0.1 and mod_cluster 1.1.3 final.
Here is my httpd.conf and my standalone.xml
If I stard JBoss 4.2.3 and open localhost:8000 I get the JBoss 4.2.3 page, so I think httpd.conf is ok. If I start JBoss 7 the localhost:8000 shows the 'It works!' page....
There is something missing in my standalone.xml?
thanks

8. Re: Configure Sticky Session
jean.baldessar Sep 26, 2011 8:45 AM (in response to rhusar)I know that, but there is no error, the request 'delegation' is just not happening.
The only information that I can think is the configuration files and the version of the things I'm using.
Anyway, here is:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Server: JBoss AS 7.0.1
Load Balancer: mod_cluster 1.1.3 final.
SO: Windows 7
Configuration files are attached
------------------------------------------------------------------
What I did:
------------------------------------------------------------------
1. installed the mod_cluster with the installconf.bat script
2. started httpd service
3. started JBoss server with the standalone-ha configuration
Nothing happened.
------------------------------------------------------------------
There is some log that I could send to help?
thank you

9. Re: Configure Sticky Session
rhusar Sep 27, 2011 7:27 AM (in response to jean.baldessar)Are you sure you turned off your firewall? The UPD traffic didn't get through so the end points do not know about each other, thats why nothing is happening.
If you cant get the advertize messages ti get trough then get rid of advertizing and setup proxyList directly. Than you will see the cause on one or the other end. Here is more info about how to configure that plus look at mod_cluster docs https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS7/mod_cluster+in+AS7
