    Please propose subjects for JBUG

    refon

      Hello,

I opened this discussion as proposed by Thomas http://community.jboss.org/wiki/JBUGNeuchatel-September21th2011-IntroAS7#comment-7660

Here are two subject I am particularily interested in:

JBOSS AS 7 Messaging (with HornetQ)

Using JBOSS AS 7 as messaging server to achieve HA (clustering, failover)

Understanding remote configurations (JBOSS AS 7 "clients" connected to a remote JBOSS AS 7 "messaging server")

      JBOSS AS 7 using CDI/Weld and Seam3

Maybe a brief overview of this compared to Seam2 ?

      Please comment, add,...

I would love to hear more about Hibernate OGM and Infinispan.

So Infinispan will be covered in November http://community.jboss.org/docs/DOC-17261 with a bit of Hibernate OGM  in it !

CDI is definitely a hot/cool topic ! We should definitely organize that. Not sure about the best speaker, but few of us have a bit of experience (my Seam experience is definitely super old )

Anyone with enough HornetQ experience here ?

Introduction to mod_cluster with JBOSS AS

I use mod_jk and mod_proxy to redirect and load balance requests

from front end Apache HTTP to Apache Tomcat and JBOSS AS containers.

I have read mod_cluster has several additional benefits such as load balance

factor calculation feedback from JBOSS application server.

I think it would be great to have some practical introduction about it, let's say

with JBOSS AS 7 and delve into details depending on audience interest.

I came accross this topic  while discussing with Jean-Frederic Clere after the

latest OpenShift JBUG and I guess we are lucky to have him "in house" to

                talk about this subject !
