1. Re: @SecurityDomain missing in AS5
alrubinger Jan 22, 2009 3:02 PM (in response to kimbaltrue)For AS5, we consolidated the EJB3 JBoss-specific annotations under the package namespace:
org.jboss.ejb3.annotation
http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/projects/ejb3/trunk/ext-api/src/main/java/org/jboss/ejb3/annotation/SecurityDomain.java
These are found in jboss-ejb3-ext-api.jar, or more simply, referenced by jbossall-client.jar.

I have read JBoss 5.0 is backward compatible with JBoss 3.0 but it is JBoss specyfic annotations so backward compatibility is not so important ? ;)
I saw this problem when tested JBoss 4.2.3 code with JBoss-embeddded-beta-3 which based on JBoss 5. -
4. Re: @SecurityDomain missing in AS5
alrubinger Jan 26, 2009 7:31 PM (in response to kimbaltrue)Many of the configuration grammars in AS5 are backward-compatible with AS4, ie. the JMX MBean *-service.xml descriptors.
However AS5 was a major version upgrade, so complete backwards-compatibility is not a requirement.
We locked down the JBoss-specific APIs as of AS during the Beta releases of Application Server, and have pledged not to change them until AS6.
