We're running 3 AS7 managed instances at once on a small Amazone ec2 node on our CI system:
Basically the only overhead of Managed is another JVM. (which is what maven surefire does default btw..)

I agree with the only cost is another JVM. I guess the cost I am worried about is maintaining a fully configured test envrionment as part fo the overall project. If we could programmitcally create modules(drivers) and data sources for testing I would be more inclined to be ok with using managed. Right now are script has to copy modules to the unpacked jboss envrionment.

gboro54 Oct 21, 2011 1:50 PM (in response to aslak)Agreed. But I am hoping that this will be able to be accomplished programmatically somehow as well(atleast the datasource aspect). I will tell you that I have enjoyed testing my EJB/CDI code with Arquillian to date....
