There's a "scrollerListener". Maybe this will do the trick.
I've never looked into the api doc of the richdatascroller before, but there are action and actionlisteners present and also some javascript eventlistners which could call an ajax request via a4j:jsfunction.

okanxyz Oct 30, 2011 2:26 PM (in response to mcmurdosound)Thanks for your reply,
but unfortunately there is no event implementation in richfaces 4.1 M2 release. I have tried to put a scrollerListener, but it is unregistred attribute for datascroller component, so that doesn't work.
Here is api doc for datascroller component http://docs.jboss.org/richfaces/latest_4_X/vdldoc/rich/dataScroller.html.
I seems to i have to wait for the future milestone releases.

mcmurdosound Oct 30, 2011 2:46 PM (in response to okanxyz)Thanks for the rf 4 api doc!
I haven't had found it yet and we are planning to migrate from rf 3.3.x to rf 4 soon. But it concerns me that rf4 seems to be quite uncomplete at the moment.
Is it possible to bind something like 'onclick', 'onsubmit' or 'oncomplete' with an a4j:ajax / a4j:support to the datascroller in rf4?
You also could trigger some events with jquery on the client side to perform an additional ajax request.
... But this maybe a bit ugly.

okanxyz Oct 30, 2011 3:09 PM (in response to mcmurdosound)If you going to migrate, be prepared for suprices, because many things are uncompleted at the moment.
To be exect for a4j:ajax binding inside datascroller it is impossible, because datascroller component is non-ClientBehaviorHolder component.
Cheers, Eldin Okanovic.
