Log4j loglevel change without server restart

Hi,

Is it possible to change loglevel dynamically without server restart?

Through searching in google I found we can set setloglevel to the level we want. But If i do this it changes to war inside one instance. But I want to change all the instances without server restart.

If anyone came across this situation le me know...

One more thing.. The log4j properties file is inside the war..

What version of JBoss AS?

If theproperties file is inside a WAR, then it applies only to the logging done by that WAR, not by anything else.

Hi there,
you can change the Log-Level for example using the JMX console. There is a Log4j mbean, there you can make your changes.
