2. Re: Providing 'url-selector-strategy-class-name' in JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA does not work
jaikiran Nov 13, 2011 1:19 AM (in response to snyderr)You're welcome to provide the patch, but do note that there are no more planned releases of JBoss AS 6.x of the SVN trunk. Development has now moved on to AS7 which is a totally different codebase. If you still want to provide that patch for AS 6 trunk, then let us know, we can help you get started.

snyderr Nov 13, 2011 9:04 AM (in response to jaikiran)Thanks for the response and clarification on the release schedule and codebase.
I suppose I'll go ahead and submit the patch anyway.
Also, I am interested in becoming a committer for AS7, if possible.

Sure. Here's how you can get started http://community.jboss.org/wiki/HackingonAS7. We are available on #jboss-as7 irc.freenode.net IRC channel. Feel free to ping us if you need some help in getting started.
We have some JIRAs which are marked as "Open for Community" https://issues.jboss.org/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=project+%3D+AS7+AND+fixVersion+%3D+%22Open+To+Community%22+AND+status+%3D+Open+ORDER+BY+priority+DESC&mode=hide. If you want to pick one of them do let us know. Or if you want to pick up some other unassigned issue, that should be fine too.

5. Re: Providing 'url-selector-strategy-class-name' in JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA does not work
snyderr Nov 13, 2011 1:38 PM (in response to jaikiran)Thanks Jaikiran -- I created an issue in the JIRA for 'Legacy JBoss Application Server 6' -- JBAS-9452, and attached a patch file to the issue.
Can I go ahead and commit the fix to the repository? Or will someone review the attached patch and make the update? Let me know how I can get started for committing the fix to the legacy codebase.
I'll read through the instructions for getting started with AS7 and see if I can start pitching in on some of the community issues there.
