rich:comboBox may be too small to visualize choices

In certain situations there is potental that the size of the suggestedValues are too large to see within the width of the comboBox. Is there any method to allow a potential choice to tooltip when hovered over?

BTW: I noticed that h:selectOneMenu will open the drop down box wider than the combo box in order to accomidate longer suggested values. It does not appear that rich:comboBox supports this.
