java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

I have a huge application that didn't have any problem with memory.

I migrated it to Richfaces 4.1 and now I have a lot of problems with permgen.

Is there any problem with Richfaces 4 ?

Could someone help me ?

Hi Valmir,

adjusting the MaxPermSize for your JVM is a common used method, you should increase as 64M/128M by default (depending on your VM version) is often too low.

I see this problem with glassfish after doing a lot of redeployments as by default the permgen space is

not reclaimed - which app server are you using?

Hi Valmir,

just set -XX:MaxPermSize=128m or -XX:MaxPermSize=256m in your run.conf (JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -XX:MaxPermSize=128m")
