    JBOSS console

    jaimohan

Hi, I'm new to Jboss. We are using Jboss 4.2 on a Redhat Linux EE server. Till recently I've been on Novell Netware.

I'm loading the AS from the terminal. But frequently, when I've to shutdown the server, I'm in a dilemma as to which all users are currently using the Server. Is there a way to get such info while ther server is running?

Further, do we have a GUI Console from where we can do such admin tasks?

If yes, how to load it..

      Thanks in advance..Kindly help.

          Hi Jaimohan,

there is no view to get informations about current connected user.

I know that Web applications with login administrate that by themselve, or redirect to a service-page if there is an apache in front of.

For other issues you havn't such option.

The JBoss shutdown is mostly graceful and let running request finish, but this is no guarantee because most application have a sequence of different calls to the server and this can not detected.

Admin task you can do with jmx- web- or admin-console depend on the JBoss version. See the start page http://<host>:8080 of the server for links.
