1. Re: JBoss 7.1 CR1 - Remote debugging
maxandersen Dec 23, 2011 7:38 AM (in response to ayagmur)I don't know how IntelliJ IDEA works with AS 7.1 but I do know the just released JBoss Tools M5 for Eclipse works fine with AS 7.1 CR1 with both debugging and launching.
My guess can only be that Intellij (like us) parses the standalone.xml and does not handle the new property format in AS 7.1 - if you can somehow force that in IntelliJ to use port 9999 or 9990 (dependent on what type of API intellij uses) then you can probably tweak it to work.
Otherwise try out M5 http://community.jboss.org/community/tools/blog/2011/12/23/jboss-tools-m5-is-coming-to-town

2. Re: JBoss 7.1 CR1 - Remote debugging
ayagmur Dec 26, 2011 8:05 AM (in response to maxandersen)I found the solution for the problem. standalone.xml files of version 7.1 beta and version 7.1 CR1 were different.
After I corrected the port number, it worked.

safetytrick Dec 28, 2011 1:26 PM (in response to ayagmur)I am having the same problem, I tried using the same management port settings for CR1 that I have in an older release but i'm still getting the "Management port configuration not found" problem. I don't see a place to set that directly in IntelliJ? What exactly was it that you changed Ali?

4. Re: JBoss 7.1 CR1 - Remote debugging
safetytrick Dec 28, 2011 1:42 PM (in response to safetytrick)I had to change this:
<socket-binding name="management-native" interface="management" port="${jboss.management.native.port:9999}"/>
<socket-binding name="management-http" interface="management" port="${jboss.management.http.port:9990}"/>
To:
<socket-binding name="management-native" interface="management" port="9999"/>
<socket-binding name="management-http" interface="management" port="9990"/>
I guess this will be fixed in an upcoming intellij release.

xpavlic4 Sep 25, 2013 2:13 PM (in response to ayagmur)In my case it was some illegal characters (quatation marks) I pasted into the standalone.xml. Once I deleted them it works.
