1. Re: Getting error while trying to upload file in JBoss AS 7 + Struts2 FileUpload
jaikiran Jan 11, 2012 11:02 PM (in response to nick.sree)20:58:33,484 INFO [org.apache.struts2.dispatcher.Dispatcher] (http-127.0.0.1-127.0.0.1-8080-5) Unable to find 'struts.multipart.saveDir' property setting. Defaulting to javax.servlet.context.tempdir
Try fixing that first. Setup the struts.multipart.saveDir (whichever way Struts expects that to be set). The rest of it looks related to that property although I am not sure what causes. A quick google search indicates it might have to do something with the folder being read-only.
P.S: Please do not create JIRAs if you don't get replies in forum threads. You can create a JIRA only if you are sure that the problem lies in AS7 code.

2. Re: Getting error while trying to upload file in JBoss AS 7 + Struts2 FileUpload
nick.sree Jan 12, 2012 2:19 AM (in response to jaikiran)I am pretty much sure that the problem is with JBOSS AS 7 or its subprojects like JBoss Modules or somewhere, The same struts file upload with JBoss AS 4 & 5 & 6 was working well.
Then struts2 struts.multipart.saveDir is just an optional parameter, if we dont provide it struts will automatically create a directory in default location.

Just because it was working in AS4, 5 and 6 does not mean the problem is in AS7 code. If you have more details about what the problem is (other than it's not working) in AS7, then sure, do let us know, we should be able to help.
