1. Re: Content distribution between DC and slaves and ref attribute in socket-bindings
ctomc Jan 9, 2012 5:15 PM (in response to damjankumar1)Hi,
the problem with parsing is known and we are just working on fixing it.
The solution or workaround is to open host.xml and under socket-binding there is an attribute ref which you can rename to socket-binding-group and it will work again.

2. Re: Content distribution between DC and slaves and ref attribute in socket-bindings
ctomc Jan 9, 2012 5:22 PM (in response to damjankumar1)Hi,
for first problem with host.xml parsing there is jira https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AS7-3232
Prelimentary fix for this you can find in attachment just copy the files in attachemtn to JBOSS_HOME\modules\org\jboss\as\host-controler\main
And restart the server, this fixes the way xml is serialized so if you have broken xml allready fix it manually first and from there ony it should work.
If you can confirm that it works for you as it should it will be commited into upstream.
cheers,
Tomaž

3. Re: Content distribution between DC and slaves and ref attribute in socket-bindings
damjankumar1 Jan 10, 2012 5:14 AM (in response to ctomc)Hi,
thank you for your immediate answer and quick fix, but I can't confirm it since deploying it to the jboss-as-7.1.0.CR1b fails with
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jboss/as/version/ProductConfig (its part of org.jboss.as.process-controller). So I took the source code from git and builded 7.1.0.Final-SNAPSHOT. Deploying the fix fails with:
[Host Controller] 10:56:25,877 ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (Controller Boot Thread) JBAS014612: Operation ("write-local-domain-controller") failed - address: ([("host" => "master")]): java.lang.AbstractMethodError:
org.jboss.as.controller.resource.AbstractSocketBindingResourceDefinition.getClientMappingsWriteAttributeHandler()Lorg/jboss/as/controller/OperationStepHandler;
Is the fix already part of 7.1.0.Final-SNAPSHOT? If it is not, could you, please send me a source code patch?

ctomc Jan 10, 2012 5:46 AM (in response to damjankumar1)Hi,
you can get the patch here: https://github.com/ctomc/jboss-as/tree/hostxml
or you can just build my source tree. it is based upon yesterdays upstream.

5. Re: Content distribution between DC and slaves and ref attribute in socket-bindings
damjankumar1 Jan 10, 2012 6:27 AM (in response to ctomc)Tnx Tomaž, I am confirming that it works on a current 7.1.0.Final-SNAPSHOT with your patch applied.
Regarding the second problem (content stored in the "\content" file as supposed to the "content" file ), I will try switching DC to CentOs, and HC to Windows. Maybe there is some kind of mismatch between OS-es when it comes to handling extra "/" character.

6. Re: Content distribution between DC and slaves and ref attribute in socket-bindings
ctomc Jan 10, 2012 8:05 AM (in response to damjankumar1)Damjan,
thank you for confirming it. I have pushed fix to the upstream, will be in next nighty build.
For the "content" folder problem I will try to reproduce it on my machine.
Can you create jira issue for this so I can take a closer look.
tnx,
tomaž

8. Re: Content distribution between DC and slaves and ref attribute in socket-bindings
damjankumar1 Jan 10, 2012 12:05 PM (in response to ctomc)Hi Tomaž,
I have created a jboss domain on my home computer in order to reproduce the error and confirm that this is an actual error before creating an issue, but you were faster. Glad to hear it, that you have a patch
Thank you for your help.

9. Re: Content distribution between DC and slaves and ref attribute in socket-bindings
ctomc Jan 10, 2012 12:24 PM (in response to damjankumar1)Pull request for merging to upstream was created so this will be in upstream shortly.
If you want to test it before that, you can use attached file and put in same place as previous one.
if all goes as planed, fix will be in tonight's nightly build.
cheers,
