1. Re: JBoss fails to start during machine boot up.
wdfink Jan 15, 2012 12:32 PM (in response to vivekbawge)Is it every startup?
What if you 'set -x' in the script and redirect into a file.
Also you might add a console appender for test.

vivekbawge Jan 16, 2012 1:02 AM (in response to wdfink)Thank you for your reply.
It happens one out of four times randomly. It should be related to some timing issue. But we are unable to find root cause as there are no logs.
JBoss runs as service in our case. The JBoss logger itself is not getting initialized. So I am not sure if redirecting the logs would help.
Can you please help regarding the -x option? What is it meant for?
I appreciate your time.
Thanks,
Vivek

3. Re: JBoss fails to start during machine boot up.
wdfink Jan 16, 2012 2:06 AM (in response to vivekbawge)I meant the debug option of the shell to see all commands of the script.
==== /etc/init/...../jbossStart.sh
set -x
{
<the jboss init script>
} >/tmp/mystart.log 2>&1
