HornetQ with JBoss EAP 5.1 Suitable for Production Use?

Hey,

I've read that HornetQ can work with JBoss AS 5.1, which leads me to believe that it will work fine with JBoss EAP 5.1, but is HornetQ (Most likely 2.2.5 Final) suitable to be used with EAP 5.1 for production use?

That is, is it reliable enough or should I just utilize the default JBoss Messaging Service?

If you want to use JBoss EAP with HornetQ in production then you should use JBoss EAP 5.1.2 and download the HornetQ add-on.  There is no other combination which is officially supported for production use.

Do you know which version of HornetQ is officially supported with JBoss EAP 5.1.2?

The version that is supported for use with JBoss EAP 5.1.2 is not generally available.  You would need to download it from the Red Hat Customer Portal.  Also, if you open a ticket on that same portal they will be able to tell you exactly what version it is (or you could just look in the MANIFEST.MF of one of the JARs).
