Language selection using drop down control

Hi All,

I need to create one drop down control with 'Arabic' and 'English' as values.That has to be placed in the portal page(not as a portlet). The user may select either of the language, then accordingly, the portal content has to change. This is the client requirement. The challenges are:

1) How to place a drop down in portal page?

2) How to change language accordingly?

Any help is highly appreciated. Its urgent. I need this by today EOD.
