jonmoores May 4, 2010 11:44 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)Hi, Does the Alpha1 version already support this feature?
When applying partial/row updates what happens when a sort order is applied on a column where the cell value changes?
Thanks
Jon

3. Re: How to remove or update a rich:dataTable with partial update?
ilya_shaikovsky May 4, 2010 11:52 AM (in response to jonmoores)tables will be available only after A2 release (already available in 4.x ui-sandbox ).. but this feature implementation isn't started. Only initial design and implementation proposals now under discussions.
B.t.w. I will move this thread to RichFaces development in order to continue public discussion.

ilya_shaikovsky May 4, 2010 11:54 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)Guys, we had initial discussions with Nick related to that and had much problems with possible implementation of such feature. So this not currently planned for A2 and I moved the thread there in order to continue discussions on possible implementations.

6. Re: How to remove or update a rich:dataTable with partial update?
jbalunas Jul 6, 2011 8:38 AM (in response to elisei)Not fully. There is support for header, body, footer, but not cell or row right now. It is something we are looking at for 4.1+
What is your usecase, perhaps there is another way?

7. Re: How to remove or update a rich:dataTable with partial update?
giberius Jan 24, 2012 8:12 AM (in response to jbalunas)Partial table update is now available for rows with a construct like render="table:@rows(.....):field"
This can be used partial updates for existing rows.
I do not see a way for inserts and deletes of rows with partial table update, or it it possible??
By now I re-render the extendedDataTable after a insert/delete from the list in the bean, but re-render redraws the table and then it "scrolls up" to the beginning.
Any plans, roadmap to partials insert/update of records in an extendedDataTable?
Any way to prevent the "scrolling up"?
