1. Re: Seam Remoting 3 & Observers
serkan.s.eskici.online.nl Jun 18, 2010 3:47 PM (in response to serkan.s.eskici.online.nl)It would be nice to have such a feature with probably the following syntax in Javascript:
Seam.Remoting.listen("your.event.name.which.is.fired.in.your.backend", callback);
This is already possible with iBeans.

2. Re: Seam Remoting 3 & Observers
shane.bryzak Jun 18, 2010 5:01 PM (in response to serkan.s.eskici.online.nl)It's currently not possible, however it would definitely be a cool feature to have and it's on my to-do list. There's actually an outstanding JIRA issue for this from ages ago:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBSEAM-1470
I'll probably implement this as part of the remoting event bus rewrite, which will include (in addition to CDI events) support for JMS topic and queue subscriptions, and other general polling features.
