Forum list in random order?

Is there any kind of order for the forum item lists? I can't tell. It's not ordered by date, title, author, etc. Very hard to find new topics of discussion. And it can't be sorted either.

Not sure how others feel, but I would certainly like to see the list (default) ordered by the last posted date. And having the ability to sort the list would b e nice.

OK, user error. It appears the list IS order by posted date. It's the pinned items at the top that make it appear un-ordered...
